After much deliberation, I can say with confidence that the next (and first) tablet I will own by having paid for it myself will be the Galaxy Note 10.1. This is assuming that the tablet makes its way to Canada, which I am hopeful that it will.
I do believe in this tablet and the technology which it incorporates is enough for it to truly be considered as a replacement for your desktop / laptop computer. The recent news / rumours that Samsung halted production to equip the tablet with quad core processors. And more importantly, we already know that the tablet will incorporate the same S-Pen technology which you already see in the Galaxy Note.
As much as people want to believe, it’s great to use your finger as a pointing device, but for a tablet to truly replace the laptop / desktop computer, it is quite important to have a stylus. Yes, Palm did get it right the first time around back in the 90′s when they introduced the stylus on the Palm Pilot devices. The stylus allows a user to take several finer actions which your regular finger just cannot. Additionally, not every person is created the same and neither are their fingers. So having uniformity in the guise of a stylus is very important.
Now, the challenging part is to develop some patience and await for the Galaxy Note 10.1 to get released!
