Folks, if you do one thing different this year I highly recommend getting into the habit of not signing into the lengthy 2-3 year contracts with any service provider. You may think that you are saving money, but the reality of it is that you are likely to spend more money and unable to get out of the contracts should you decide to change your mind.
If after a year or so, you decide to upgrade your device, service or realize that you are not using nearly the capacity for which you are paying for there is little that you can do. If you decide to terminate your contracts, you will be charged with a cancellation fee and also a fee for being an idiot. So save yourself the hassle and just start the habit of not signing into long term contracts with your cable, internet, wireless or home phone providers.
